Officers from the Ganja Main Police Department conducted another operation to combat drug trafficking. During the operation, 33-year-old Adil Adilov was detained on suspicion of drug trafficking, Oxu.Az reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was reported that 27 kg 475 grams of heroin were found in his sports bag.
In his testimony, the detainee stated that he purchased the drugs through an Iranian citizen he met on a social network, whose identity is being established by the investigation, and planned to deliver them to various addresses in the city.
It should be noted that the heroin found in A. Adilov’s possession is valued at 1,600,000 manat on the black market.
A criminal case has been opened in connection with this incident at the Ganja Main Police Department. The court has ordered A. Adilov to be remanded in custody. Investigative actions are ongoing.
