Defense Ministry’s four servicemen accused of embezzling AZN 10 mln

Officers of the Defense Ministry accused Rafael Khalilov, head of the Finance Department, Fazail Aliyev, head of the finance department of military unit N, Bayram Bayramov, head of the Land Forces Finance Department, and Alizadeh Vusal Adalat oglu, officer of the Finance Department, were considered by the investigation body, APA reports.

The presentation was provided in Baku Military Court. Each of the accused was sentenced to four months in prison.

These persons were detained in the course of an operation carried out by the State Security Service. They were charged under article 179.4 of the Criminal Code (embezzlement on an especially large scale). According to APA, the total damage is estimated at more than 10 million manat.
