The State Security Service of Azerbaijan (SSS) has studied the information disseminated in social networks and in the media about the Aztechnology page on the social network Instagram, which offers tracking of users’ correspondence in the WhatsApp application, the report.az Internet news portal reports, citing information posted on the official website of the SSS.
Arif Hamid oglu Askerov, born in 2000, reportedly posted an ad on the Aztechnology page (www.instagram.com/xakkerhuseyn) to provide a link to intercept and track WhatsApp conversations for a fee. Those wishing to use the proposed service transferred funds to the bank card account at the disposal of Arif Askerov, but then the attempts of these citizens to contact the page administrator were unsuccessful.
Thus, Arif Askerov, in the period up to May 25, 2022, fraudulently took possession of the funds of 394 persons. He was prosecuted and the investigation is ongoing.
