Head of Shamkir regional department of culture detained

The head of the Shamkir Regional Department of Culture, Azer Radjabov, has been detained, the internet news portal report.az reports. He was detained during an operation carried out by the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan.

Radjabov is suspected of corruption crimes. It is reported that several other officials were detained along with him.

The Internet news portal notes that A. Radjabov has been the head of the Shamkir Regional Department of Culture since December last year.
