Azerbaijani builders are reviving the streets of Shusha after a long period of Armenian occupation

The territories around the city of Shusha at one time were known as “Azerbaijani Switzerland” because of the wooded hills and mild climate, and now that the city destroyed during the Armenian occupation has been liberated, Azerbaijani builders are gradually reviving its streets, the article notes.

The buildings of the local council, the police department and the main post office have already been restored, restoration work is underway around the Govhar-aga mosque. And the construction of three hotels allowed the Azerbaijani authorities to choose Shusha as the venue for the annual Baku Energy Week conference, during which it became known that the Emirati firm Masdar will build solar and wind power plants for Azerbaijan, which together will produce 4 gigawatts of electricity, Reuters material reports.
