Next year in Azerbaijan, 70% of the budget will be allocated to social programs

For the past three years, construction and restoration work has been carried out at a high pace on the liberated lands of Azerbaijan.
As oxu.az reports, this was announced at a joint meeting of the Milli Majlis committees on youth and sports; labor and social policy; agricultural policy; regional issues; Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov said about natural resources, energy and ecology. According to him, spending on defense and national security is included in the priority expenditures of the state budget next year.
“For the implementation of the State Program of the Great Return, 4 billion manats are allocated, and the program for the socio-economic development of Nakhchivan – 249 million manats. Up to 70% of the budget expenditures are allocated to social programs, here we are talking about 15 billion 773 million manats. Compared to the corresponding figure for the current year, these expenses increase by 47%,” the minister said.
