The General Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General conducted an operation in the Forest Development Service under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, APA reports citing the department’s press service. The head of the sector of the Forest Development Service, Sadyg Salmanov, the director of the Zagatala regional center, Rashad Makhmudov, and other officials were detained.

Currently, a criminal case has been opened and an investigation is underway. It is noted that additional information will be provided later.
