Smuggling of about 19 kg of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan was prevented

On November 17, at around 23:00, as a result of the vigilance of the border patrol of the “Geytepe” detachment of the border troops of the State Border Service (SBS), the smuggling of narcotic drugs from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented on the service territory of the border post located near the village of Govuzbulag in the Jalilabad region, oxu. az  reports with reference to the SBS.

During the border inspection and operational activities, drugs with a total weight of 18 kg 710 g (18 kg 300 g of marijuana, 150 g of methamphetamine, 260 g of heroin) and 3,607 Methadone M-40 tablets were discovered and seized.

Investigative and operational activities regarding this fact are ongoing.
