The case against an organized crime group accused of accepting large bribes, smuggling, drug trafficking, and other crimes has been sent to court, Oxu.Az reports, citing the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan.
The preliminary investigation into the criminal case, which was submitted to the Anti-Corruption Main Directorate under the Prosecutor General’s Office from the State Customs Committee, has been completed. The case concerns illegal actions by officials of the Bilasuvar Customs Department and other individuals involved in smuggling.
The criminal case has been sent to the Baku Court of Grave Crimes for trial,” the statement reads.
