Officers from the Khazar District Police Department conducted an operation to combat the illegal trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
According to Oxu.Az, 45-year-old Baku resident Emil Khalilov, a suspect in the crime, was detained during the operation.
A total of 14 kg 815 grams of marijuana laced with psychotropic substances was seized from him. It was established that he purchased the drugs for sale from an Iranian citizen, whose identity is currently being established.
A criminal case has been opened, and an investigation is underway.
