From January to March of this year, law enforcement agencies in Azerbaijan registered 7,738 crimes, 85.9% of which were solved. According to Report, Minister of Internal Affairs Vilayat Eyvazov announced this at an online meeting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Board dedicated to the results of the first quarter of 2026.
According to him, 90.1% of crimes registered by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and prosecutorial authorities in Azerbaijan were solved during the reporting period. Crime rates decreased by 4.9% compared to the same period in 2025.
Also, 2,310 tons of narcotics were seized from illegal circulation, an increase of 648 kg compared to the same period last year.
