A verdict handed down for a person accused of large-scale fraud

The Baku Grave Crimes Court has completed the criminal trial of Jabrayil Gambarov, who is accused of large-scale fraud under the pretext of employing various individuals as teachers in Baku schools, Oxu.Az reports. The verdict was read at the final hearing chaired by Judge Telman Huseynov. The court sentenced the defendant to seven years in prison.

Jabrail Gambarov previously worked as a methodologist at Baku Business University. He deceived citizens by promising them jobs as teachers in various specialties in secondary schools, thereby embezzling large sums of money.

Jabrail Gambarov has been charged under Article 178.3.2 (fraud causing large-scale damage) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The total amount of damage caused to the victims in this criminal case amounted to more than 200 thousand manat.
