Security gaps were identified on 695 information resources of government agencies
As a result of audits and monitoring conducted by the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security of Azerbaijan during 2023, security gaps were identified in 695 information resources of government institutions. As oxu.az reports, this was stated by Deputy Head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security of Azerbaijan Allahveren Ismayilov at a conference organized by the Prosecutor General’s Office on the topic “Digital criminal process: modern challenges and goals.”
According to him, digital crimes usually occur in cases where there are security gaps in an information resource.
A. Ismayilov noted that as a result of audits/pentests and monitoring carried out in government agencies over the same period in 2022, security gaps and flaws were discovered and eliminated in 553 government information systems.
By analyzing attempted cyber attacks, our service, identifying 1,162 special indicators of cyber attacks and blocking them in the AzStateNet network and email system, prevented targeted cyber attacks.
