According to 1news.az, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan expressed attitude to the statements of blogger Mehman Huseynov, concerning pressure and beating him in police station.   

On words of a deputy of the press-service’s head of the MIA of Azerbaijan, Police Colonel Ehsan Zahidov, there were no any pressure on Mehman Huseynov in time of his presence in the police station, all statements of Mehman Huseynov about the police are the slander, for that he might be brought responsibility. Employees of the police can sue him, but they demonstrate their humanism and do not it.

As it known, the blogger was detained by the employees of 22^nd police station of Nasimi District Police Department of Baku and delivered to Nasimi District Court. He has been charged in not obeying the lawful demands of the employees of law enforcement agencies – under Article 535.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. On 10 January with Nasimi District Court of Baku Mehman Huseynov was sentenced to 200 manats fine for not obeying the lawful demands of the employees of the police and released in the courtroom. After releasing the blogger pointed out that during his presence in the police station he was subjected to pressure and violence.

In Baku have been detained persons, who were involved in illegal drug trafficking, APA reports with reference to the press-service of the MIA.

In course operation-searching actions of conducted by the employees of Garadag District Police Department more than 20 kg marijuana has been seized to a previously sentenced habitant of Baku R. Nazarov, the Police Department of Nasimi District has seized about 10 kg marijuana to a previously sentenced resident of Baku E. Musayev.
