On May 11, 2017, there has been continued court session on the appeal of former chairman of the Board of International Bank of Azerbaijan Jahangir Hajiyev, reports haqqin.az.
The presiding judge, Aflatun Gasimov, noted that Jahangir Hajiyev has had health problems.
Lawyers Jahangir Hajiyev asked to postpone the trial because of health problems of the ex-head of the bank.
The judge took into consideration the request of Jahangir Hajiyev and postponed the trial until May 18, 2017.
The portal reminds that the former head of the International Bank of Azerbaijan Jahangir Hajiyev was sentenced to 17 years of imprisonment.
