Police received information about a man attempting to break into vacant apartments in residential buildings in the Narimanov, Nasimi, and Yasamal districts of Baku with the intent to commit theft.
According to Oxu.Az, citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 41-year-old M. Khurshudov, a suspect in the crime, was detained as a result of the investigation.
According to the investigation, the suspect planned to break into apartments whose doors were left open. It was also established that he and another person were checking and photographing apartment doors with the intent to commit thefts. These actions were recorded by CCTV cameras.
The Narimanov District Police Department is conducting an investigation, and is also investigating whether M. Khurshudov participated in other similar crimes.
