About 20 kg of drugs seized from illegal circulation in Baku

About 20 kg of drugs have been seized from illegal circulation in Baku, Oxu.Az reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.

Since the beginning of the year, police officers have identified 61 cases of illegal trafficking and sale of drugs in the Nasimi district of Baku, seizing almost 20 kg of prohibited substances. It was established that 15 detainees organized the sale of drugs in certain places in the district.

A previously convicted 32-year-old Ershad Nagiyev was also detained. More than 2 kg of marijuana and hashish were found and seized from him. He stated that he had purchased the drugs through an Iranian citizen whom he met on a social network and intended to sell them.

Investigations are underway into these facts.
