Fraudster who stole one million manat sentenced

The trial of Jeyhun Zeynalov, accused of fraud in Baku, has ended, oxu.az reports. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison and arrested in the courtroom.
According to the charges, Jeyhun Zeynalov, having organized the illegal transfer of funds to the Republic of Azerbaijan by means of compensation and other methods of mutual settlements, as well as other methods unknown to the investigation, received this money through unidentified persons in the city of Baku, Jalilabad and Masalli districts. In this way, he stole funds in the amount of about 1 million manat.
He was charged under Article 178.4 (fraud committed with causing especially large-scale damage) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
Two people were recognized as victims in the criminal case – Rakhil Askerov and Shaig Huseynov.
