On April 15, 32,306 manats were stolen from the bank cards of Azerbaijani citizens, Report informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The thefts were committed using various cyber fraud schemes.
Yesterday, individuals stole 13,700, 3,450, 3,017, 1,827, 1,600, 1,396, 1,288, 1,140, 1,121, 1,010, 822, 493, 330, 303, 300, 221, 170, 118 manats from citizens’ bank cards.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs once again called on citizens to be vigilant and attentive to all incoming calls, especially those with offers of quick income, insurance payments, or requests to confirm banking transactions. The agency strongly recommends not to share confidential bank card data with anyone and to be aware of possible cyber threats.
