The department urged citizens to be extremely careful when handling personal banking data and reminded that CVV/CVC codes, OTP codes, logins and passwords, as well as PIN codes are confidential information.

“If you provide this information to strangers, you risk losing all funds in the account. If there is no money on the balance, the attackers can apply for a loan in your name. Once again, we recommend that citizens be vigilant when receiving suspicious calls with tempting offers of easy profit, insurance, strengthening bank accounts and replenishing them. Do not under any circumstances give your personal banking information to strangers, it is dangerous,” the appeal says.
