Cybercriminals stole more than 20 thousand manats from citizens’ bank cards

Yesterday, 20,332 manats were stolen from citizens’ bank cards, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the data, cybercriminals withdrew various amounts from cards using various fraudulent schemes – from 50 to 9920 manats.

The department called on citizens to be extremely careful when handling personal banking data and reminded that the CVV/CVC code, OTP codes, logins and passwords, as well as PIN codes are confidential information. “If you transfer this data to third parties, you risk losing all funds in the account. If there is no money on the balance, the attackers can apply for a loan in your name,” the appeal says.
