Police detain counterfeiter

Police officers detained a man in the city of Sumgayit who tried to pay at a store with a counterfeit 100 manat banknote, 1news.az reports with reference to APA. The incident occurred in one of the city’s supermarkets. When paying for goods, an unknown person handed counterfeit money to the cashier, after which the incident was immediately reported to the police.

As a result of operational activities carried out by officers of the 3rd department of the Sumgayit City Police Department, the identity of the suspect was established. He turned out to be A. Gasanov, he was detained.

An investigation is underway into the fact.
