An Uzbek citizen detained in Azerbaijan extradited to his homeland

Azerbaijan has granted the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan to extradite a citizen of this country, Urinboev Saidkamol Sattorbek oglu (born in 2000), to face criminal charges, Report informs citing the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan.

S.S. Urinboev, accused of committing fraud causing significant damage in Uzbekistan and put on the international wanted list, was found and detained in Azerbaijan in February of this year, and a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for him.

Based on the Convention “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Cases” dated 07.10.2002, a decision was made to extradite the accused, who was handed over to the competent authority of the Republic of Uzbekistan, accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
