The trial of Hasan Huseynov, accused of treason, has ended in the Baku Court of Grave Crimes.
As reported by Oxu.Az, during the trial chaired by Judge Roman Alakbarli, a decision was read out according to which the defendant was sentenced to 16 years of imprisonment in a maximum security facility.
G. Huseynov was recruited for secret cooperation by foreign intelligence services and carried out covert activities to carry out the tasks of these bodies to the detriment of the state security of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In addition, he personally transferred funds to persons who carried out other secret tasks in the country at the direction of the intelligence services, deliberately providing assistance to a foreign state, organization and their representatives to the detriment of the state security of the Republic of Azerbaijan, thereby committing treason.
