The Lankaran Court of Grave Crimes has completed the consideration of the criminal case against the head of the azerinfo.az website Ibrahim Humbatov, Oxu.Az reports.
According to the court’s decision, I. Humbatov was sentenced to six years in prison.
It should be noted that the state prosecutor demanded that the defendant be sentenced to seven years in prison.
I. Humbatov was detained by police officers in December 2023 in connection with citizens’ appeals. He was charged under Article 182.2.2 (extortion committed repeatedly) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
