Three people have been detained in Shamakhi on suspicion of committing a robbery, as a result of which jewelry weighing over 10 kg was stolen. As Report informs, the information was disseminated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.
Unknown persons used physical force to seize a local resident’s bag, which contained over 10 kg of jewelry, and then fled the scene of the crime. During operational activities, the suspects were identified as 23-year-old Gulooglan Kerimov, 21-year-old Eljan Beydiyev and 18-year-old Gafur Baloglanov.
At a police checkpoint in Hajigabul, the suspects ignored a request to stop and continued driving. They later left the car and tried to hide in a swampy area in Shirvan, where they were detained.
The stolen jewelry was seized in full and returned to the victim.
A criminal case has been opened, the investigation is ongoing.
