The trial of individuals accused of calling for action against the state completed

A hearing was held in the Baku Court of Grave Crimes on the criminal case against the chairman of the Garadagh district department of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Zaur Askerov and a member of the Binagadi branch of the party Gunduz Mirzoyev, accused of public calls against the state. As reported by Oxu.Az, documents on the case were examined at the hearing, chaired by Judge Azer Taghiyev.

Then the court announced the completion of the trial. The next hearing is scheduled for May 29.

Zaur Askerov and Gunduz Mirzoyev were detained on March 7. They were charged under Article 281.2 (public calls against the state, committed repeatedly or by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. The investigation of the criminal case was conducted by the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
