Pardon order to be executed in Azerbaijan today

The order signed by President Ilham Aliyev “On pardoning a number of convicted persons” will be executed today. This was reported to APA by the Penitentiary Service.

According to the order, the unserved portion of the sentence of 25 persons has been halved. One person sentenced to imprisonment with a suspended sentence has also been released. Two more people who were sentenced to imprisonment with a suspended sentence have been amnestied. In addition, 10 people sentenced to restriction of freedom have been released from the unserved portion of their sentence. The unserved portion of the sentence of two people sentenced to restriction of freedom has been halved. Four people sentenced to correctional labor have been released from the unserved portion of their sentence, and one more person has been released from punishment.
