Over the past weekend, about 5,600 manats were stolen from citizens’ bank cards

On May 31 and June 1, about 5,600 manats were stolen from citizens’ bank cards in Azerbaijan, Report informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Cybercriminals stole various amounts from cards using various fraudulent schemes – from 55 to 1,351 manats.
The department called on citizens to be extremely careful when handling personal banking data and reminded that the CVV/CVC code, OTP codes, logins and passwords, as well as PIN codes are confidential information.
“If you transfer this data to third parties, you risk losing all funds in the account,” the appeal says.
Citizens are strongly advised to be vigilant when receiving suspicious calls or messages with offers of easy money, insurance, etc.
