Drug dealers with a large consignment of drugs detained in the Caspian Sea

Persons who illegally crossed the territorial waters of the Caspian Sea belonging to Azerbaijan have been detained, minval.az reports with reference to the press center of the State Border Service.
On May 29, 2025, as a result of joint actions of the coast guard of the State Border Service and border ships in the southern direction of the Caspian Sea, a total of 24 kilograms 270 grams of drugs (24 kg 170 grams of marijuana and 100 grams of opium) were discovered and seized.
The detained Iranian citizens are Vahid Laigi Sudif, born in 1984, Khalid Yazdani Nurullah, born in 1985, Monshinezhat Tohid Nariman, born in 1986.
An investigation is underway into the fact.
