18 kg of drugs seized in Lankaran, three detained

Police officers seized a large batch of drugs in Lankaran — about 18 kg of marijuana containing psychotropic substances. As reported by Oxu.Az, citing the Lankaran regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During the operational activities, 65-year-old resident of Shamakhi Azizag Salimli, as well as previously convicted residents of the Jalilabad region — 42-year-old Rejeb Mamedov and 44-year-old Anar Ismayilov were detained.

According to preliminary data, the detainees were involved in drug trafficking by an Iranian citizen and planned to deliver drugs to various addresses in exchange for material reward.

A criminal case has been opened on the fact, an investigation is underway.
