Corruption case in military registration and enlistment office sent to court

As reported by Oxu.Az with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AR), the investigation has been completed on the criminal case initiated by the Main Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General’s Office on the fact of receiving bribes from citizens by the head of the Khazar District Department of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription for Military Service Ramin Shukurov, senior officer of the conscription department of this department Khalid Azimov and officer Emil Nabiyev while performing their official duties.

Based on the collected evidence, R. Shukurov was charged under Articles 311.3.1, 311.3.2, 311.3.3 (receiving a bribe by a group of persons by prior agreement, repeatedly, in a large amount) and 312-1.1 (illegal influence on the decision of an official (trading in authority)) of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic, and at the request of the investigative body, based on the submission of the prosecutor exercising procedural guidance of the preliminary investigation, a court decision was made to choose a preventive measure in the form of arrest against him. Emil Nabiyev is charged under Articles 311.3.1 and 311.3.3, and Khalid Azimov is charged under Articles 311.3.1 and 311.3.2 of the Criminal Code, and in relation to them, at the request of the investigative body, based on the submission of the prosecutor exercising procedural control over the preliminary investigation, a preventive measure in the form of house arrest was chosen by the court decision, and in relation to all three persons, an additional preventive measure in the form of suspension from office was chosen.

The criminal case was sent for consideration to the Baku Military Court.
