The Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted an operation, 175 kg of drugs were seized from circulation, Report informs with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the operations, officers of the Main Directorate for Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking detained 19 members of an organized group. These individuals were found to have a total of 175 kilograms of marijuana, heroin, opium, methamphetamine, 690 strong methadone tablets, as well as electronic scales and bank cards.

Most of the detainees were the main persons who organized the smuggling of drugs into the country and their sale.

Criminal cases were initiated on the facts under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and each of the detainees was remanded in custody.
