Former SCC employees accused of gold smuggling worth 190,000 manats received suspended sentences

The trial of gold smuggling involving former employees of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan has ended. As Report informs, former employees of the Main Customs Administration for Air Transport Parvin Dursunaliev and Mansur Mehdiyev and their acquaintance Ali Ibrahimov were accused of illegally importing gold bars from the UAE worth more than 190,000 manats.

The verdict was announced at the Baku Court of Grave Crimes chaired by Judge Ayten Aliyeva – all three received suspended sentences with a probationary period and were released right in the courtroom.
