A drug dealer who resisted police in an attempt to escape was neutralized in the Garadagh district of Baku, his accomplice was detained, Oxu.Az reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.
According to the information, on June 29 at about 23:00, persons suspected of illegal drug trafficking resisted police officers and tried to escape.
Tekhran Mammadov, 29, who was driving a VAZ-2104, did not obey the order to stop, lost control and drove into a fence on the side of the road. Then he got out of the car and resisted the police officers with a knife in his hands, trying to create conditions for the escape of the person in the vehicle.
After repeated warnings, the police officer used his service weapon and neutralized the attacker, and his accomplice was detained. 10 kg of narcotics were found and seized in the car.
A criminal case has been opened on this fact, investigative measures are being carried out.
