Trial of Azer Bagirov accused of treason begins

A trial has been held on the criminal case initiated by the State Security Service (SSS) against Azer Bagirov, accused of treason. As reported by APA, today, at the trial chaired by Judge Babek Panahov in the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, the personal data of the accused was clarified.

The trial is scheduled for July 16.

It is noted that as a result of the measures carried out by the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azer Bagirov, accused of espionage, was detained in the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and brought to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

As follows from the case materials, the special service of a foreign state attracted Azerbaijani citizen Azer Bagirov to cooperate in order to conceal its participation in provocations in three countries. Azer Bagirov, using his status as a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, damaged the interests of our state abroad and was engaged in espionage activities.
