Person who appropriated businessman’s property detained

Two two-story villas belonging to businessman Adalet Alyshov were robbed in the Khazar district of Baku. According to Oxu.Az, the crime was committed by a person whom the owner entrusted with looking after his property.
As it turned out, Alyshov, not living in the villas permanently, handed them over to his friend for the period from November 2024 to March 2025. However, the trusted person took advantage of the situation and systematically stole valuable property from both houses.
During this period, the man took and sold seven air conditioners worth 11,000 manat, laminate flooring worth 5,760 manat from one villa and 2,560 manat from another. Seven TVs worth 6,500 manat and four TVs worth 4,000 manat from the second villa were also stolen. Of particular value were 40 chandeliers valued at 68,000 manat and 20 vases worth 14,000 manat. According to preliminary estimates, the total amount of stolen property was 292,574 manat.
However, the perpetrator did not stop there and tried to take away furniture and household appliances worth 213,000 manat, but was detained by law enforcement officers at the time of the crime.
After the property owner contacted the police, the suspect was detained. A preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against him.
A criminal case has been opened on this fact, the investigation is ongoing.
