Employees of the Nasimi District Police Department confiscated more than 21 kg of drugs in Baku during a special operation, Report informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the event, 32-year-old Rahib Alekberli and previously convicted 29-year-old Samir Khairullayev were detained. A total of 21 kg 735 g of hashish, marijuana and methamphetamine were found and confiscated from them.
According to the investigation, the detainees reported that they were involved in drug courier activities by Iranian citizens and planned to deliver prohibited substances to various addresses in exchange for monetary compensation.
Criminal cases have been initiated on the fact, an investigation is underway. Operational measures to identify other members of the criminal group are ongoing.
