Sumgait police officers detained two members of a drug network – Ibrahim Aliyev and Elchin Huseynov, more than 67 kg of drugs were seized from the detainees, Report informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Thus, a large batch of drugs – 67 kg 290 g of marijuana with the addition of psychotropic substances – was found in the car where the detainees were located.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to criminal ties with an Iranian citizen, whose identity is currently being established by the investigation. According to the testimony of the detainees, the drugs were obtained in a pre-agreed place in the Absheron region. Aliyev and Huseynov planned to organize the sale of drugs for the purpose of obtaining material benefits.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact. By the decision of the court, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for both suspects.
