The court made a decision on the case of the arrested lawyer and his brother

The Baku Court of Appeal considered the complaint of the famous lawyer Adem Mammadov, who was arrested on charges of slander and insult against a colleague, as well as his brother Khayyam Mammadov, oxu.az reports. According to the decision made at the court session, the sentence against A. Mammadov and his brother was left unchanged.

A. Mammadov and H. Mammadov accused lawyer J. Yusifov of committing a serious crime on the website they jointly managed. After the victim applied to the court as a private prosecution, A. Mammadov was sentenced to 6 months in prison, and H. Mammadov was sentenced to one year of correctional labor.

In addition, by the decision of the Presidium of the Bar Association, the professional activities of A. Mammadov were suspended.
