Baku registered 7,549 crimes in the first half of 2025

In the first half of this year, law enforcement agencies in Baku registered 7,549 crimes. As Report informs, this was announced at an operational meeting of the Baku city prosecutor’s office on the results of the first six months.

According to the information, the crime detection rate was 92.6%. In particular, all 12 registered cases of intentional murder were solved.

According to the presented data, the city is seeing positive dynamics in reducing the number of crimes such as intentional murder, incitement to suicide, theft, embezzlement and misappropriation, fraud, extortion, hooliganism, drug-related crimes, as well as violations of traffic rules and vehicle operation, including fatal accidents.

However, there is an increase in the number of attempted murders, intentional infliction of serious and moderate bodily harm, kidnappings, armed robberies and environmental crimes.
