The trial of the criminal case of previously convicted Togrul Kerimov (born in 1986), who deceived 181 people on the TikTok social network, embezzling a large sum of money under the pretext of employment, has ended.
As reported by Oxu.Az, at the last hearing in the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, the verdict was read out, according to which T. Kerimov was deprived of liberty for 6 years and 6 months.
It is noted that the police received many complaints about the seizure of citizens’ funds by posting tempting ads on the TikTok social network under the guise of “high-paying work” and other pretexts.
A criminal case was initiated against T. Kerimov under Article 178 (fraud) of the Criminal Code and a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen.
The collected materials were sent for consideration to the Baku Court of Serious Crimes.
