Sentence passed on man accused of treason

The final court hearing was held on the criminal case initiated by the State Security Service (SSS) against Elnur Ismiyev, who is accused of treason. The trial of Elnur Ismiyev, who worked in strategically important territories, was held behind closed doors. As reported by APA, the verdict was read out at the trial held in the Baku Court of Grave Crimes under the chairmanship of Judge Hafiz Kamranov.

Elnur Ismiyev was found guilty under the article and sentenced to 16 years in prison.

E. Ismiyev was brought to criminal responsibility by the Main Investigation Department of the State Security Service. He was charged under Article 274 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (treason).
