In Ganja, 30-year-old Farid Mamedov, who had previously been convicted several times and was wanted, tried to escape from the police, showing armed resistance, Oxu.Az reports with reference to the Ganja regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is noted that the police officers prevented the escape attempt by using service firearms. As a result, F. Mamedov was wounded and taken to the hospital. His condition is assessed as satisfactory.
An investigation is underway into this incident.
