Azerbaijani border guards have prevented an attempt to smuggle drugs from Iran using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), Oxu.Az reports with reference to the State Border Service (SBS).
It is reported that on July 28, as a result of search and operational activities carried out on the service territory of the Horadiz border detachment of the SBS, an attempt to smuggle a large consignment of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan was thwarted.
As a result, 12 kg 100 grams of marijuana and 399 M-40 methadone tablets containing narcotic substances were found and seized in the border zone.
