Ministry of Internal Affairs: 27 kg of drugs were found and seized

As a result of the operations conducted by the employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Drugs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), 27 kg of drugs were found and seized, Report informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During the operations conducted in the Khazar district of Baku, in the Absheron and Imishli districts, drug couriers were detained – 56-year-old Kamil Huseynzade, 48-year-old Eldaniz Musayev and 44-year-old Rashad Ismayilov. A total of 27 kg of marijuana and electronic scales were found and seized from them.

The detainees confessed to criminal ties with Iranian citizens, whose identities are being established by the investigation. They planned to organize the sale of drugs.

A criminal case has been initiated on the facts, and a preventive measure in the form of arrest has been chosen for the detainees by the court decision.
