The trial of officials accused of deceiving citizens under the pretext of employment abroad is beginning. This was informed to Report by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated by the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General’s Office against officials of 365TOURISM, TEMPOTIRPS and JOBS LLC, who appropriated citizens’ funds, promising them employment in foreign countries, has been completed.
During the preliminary investigation, reasonable suspicions were established that the head of 365TOURISM LLC, Ruslan Najafov, the head of JOBS LLC, Mehrab Khalilov, and the head of TEMPOTRIPS LLC, Takhmazova Sadaget, acting as an organized group, abusing their official powers, entering deliberately false information into official documents and providing forged documents, gave citizens false promises about highly paid work in foreign countries, as a result of which they appropriated the funds of 71 people for a total of more than 223 thousand manats.
Based on the collected evidence, they were charged under Articles 178.3.2 (fraud on an especially large scale), 308.2 (abuse of office, resulting in grave consequences), 313 (official forgery) and 320.1 (production of forged documents, sale of official documents, state awards, seals, stamps, forms or use of forged documents) of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic.
With respect to Ruslan Najafov and Mekhrab Khalilov, at the request of the investigative body and the submission of the prosecutor exercising procedural guidance of the preliminary investigation, a court decision chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest, and with respect to Sadaget Takhmazova, a decision of the investigative body chose a preventive measure in the form of police supervision.
Compensation of 105 thousand out of 223 thousand manat in material damage caused to the victims in the case was ensured, the criminal case was sent to the Baku Court of Grave Crimes.
