Employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Drugs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) seized 30 kg of drugs smuggled into the country during an operation in the Jalilabad district, Oxu.Az reports with reference to the press service of the MIA. Thus, during the special operation, 50-year-old resident of the Jalilabad district Elshan Shammadov was detained. 30 kg of marijuana were found and seized from him.
It was established that Elshan Shammadov acted in collusion with Iranian citizens at various times and was one of the main organizers of drug trafficking in the country.
A criminal case has been opened on this fact. By the court’s decision, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen for the detainee.
