Person convicted of fraud

The trial of a fraud case committed under the pretext of employment has been completed, Oxu.Az reports. The Narimanov District Court sentenced the person found guilty under Article 178.2.4 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan to imprisonment for 2 years and 6 months. The defendant had previously had an unserved sentence of 2 years and 6 months, which was partially combined with the new sentence. As a result, he was sentenced to imprisonment for 3 years.

The 2 days during which he was held as a suspect were deducted from the sentence, and he was finally deprived of liberty for 2 years, 11 months and 28 days.

It follows from the case materials that the accused, named Valeh, promised his friend to get him a job in law enforcement. In exchange for this, he received 6 thousand manats from him. However, he did not fulfill his promise.

During the court hearing, the accused pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him. It also became known that the damage caused to the victim was compensated.
