Azerbaijan extradited one of the country’s most wanted crime bosses, Mayank Singh, to India. He was arrested in Baku last year, Oxu.Az reports, citing Indian media. A team of officers from the Indian Anti-Terrorism Squad brought Singh from Baku to Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand state.
Mayank Singh is the first gangster from Jharkhand to be extradited from abroad. The gangster had been wanted internationally for a long time under an Interpol red notice. He has a long criminal history, was a childhood friend and a member of the gang of crime boss Lawrence Bishnoi.
Before fleeing India, Singh committed high-profile crimes in the states of Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. More than 45 cases have been opened against him, including murder, extortion, threats, armed assault and criminal conspiracy.
